Who Owns the Images I Create?

Last updated: 2026-01-15

When you create images with AnyKoma, you receive rights to use those images according to your subscription plan. Here’s what that means.

Your Rights to Generated Images

You receive a license to use the images you generate. This license varies by subscription plan:

PlanYour Rights
FreePersonal use only
StarterFull commercial use
ProFull commercial use
MasterFull commercial use

See Commercial Use Rights by Plan for detailed rights per plan.

Under current U.S. Copyright Office guidance (2023-2024), purely AI-generated images may not be eligible for copyright protection because copyright requires human authorship.

What this means:

  • You have a license from AnyKoma to use the images
  • Copyright protection may be limited for purely AI-generated works
  • Images with significant human modification may qualify for protection

Protecting Your Work

To strengthen potential copyright claims:

  1. Keep records of your creative input (prompts, character designs, story concepts)
  2. Modify images - Add your own drawings, text, or edits
  3. Document your process - Save prompt history and design decisions
  4. Consult a professional for high-value commercial uses

This is general information, not legal advice. For specific legal questions, consult an intellectual property attorney.
